What “three things” means

The same shape every morning

1

What changed

A rule, a number, a deadline, or a payment date — with the source, so you can check it yourself.

2

Who it affects

Plainly. Whether it touches you, or whether you can safely ignore it this week.

3

What to do

One action, or an honest “nothing right now.” We don’t manufacture urgency.

COLA, a Medicare deadline, and a scam going around

1. This year’s COLA is set.

Benefits rise 2.8% starting with January payments. What that means for your check — and why your Medicare premium may eat part of it. Source: ssa.gov

2. Medicare open enrollment closes December 7.

If your plan’s drug list changed, this is the window to move. After it closes you’re generally locked in for the year. Source: medicare.gov

3. The “suspended benefits” call is a scam.

Social Security does not call to say your number was suspended. Hang up and report it at oig.ssa.gov/report. Source: SSA OIG
